Mindfulness & Meditation
Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Keighley
Saturday 4 Nov, 10am – 1pm
Experience for yourself the natural inner peace and happiness that arises from a still mind. Meditation and mindfulness calm the mind, reduce stress and help us to develop a more positive approach to life.
In our modern society many of us feel that we have too much to do and not enough time. As a result we can experience enormous stress, anxiety, and fatigue. How can we cope with ever-increasing demands from every direction? Buddha’s teachings offer us an alternative—by using the power of our mindfulness, we can develop, strengthen, and keep a special experience of peace and stability in our mind despite a very busy life. Mindfulness is essential to keep our sanity day to day as well as for personal development, helping us realise our full potential.
The purpose of this course is to gain the practical wisdom and experience necessary to develop and maintain mindfulness in daily life, and the course will include guided meditation and instruction. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of previous experience.
The cost of the workshop is £12 (GP Centre Card £5).
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the workshop. Why not also stay for lunch afterwards?
