Stop Worrying, Start Living
Buddha Land Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Keighley
Sat 19 Jan & Sun 20 Jan , 10am-3.30pm
Many of our unpeaceful minds relate to those around us. In these retreats we will explore meditations for developing a peaceful mind and a warm feeling towards those we meet. Attend one or both days. £16 per day or £25 for both.
Explore how to cultivate an authentic experience of warmth towards others through meditation. By increasing qualities such as patience and a belief in others’ potentials we can solve many of our daily problems and maintain a happy peaceful mind all the time.
At present, our experience of warmth towards others is very limited and is often conditional. As a result many of our relationships with other people also serve as a source of much pain, anxiety and frustration. However, through training systematically in these timeless methods we can make all our encounters with others more satisfying and meaningful.
“It is said that there exists a magic crystal that has the power to purify any liquid it is placed in. Those who cherish others are like this crystal – by their very presence they remove negativity from the world and give back love and kindness.” – Geshe Kelang Gyatso
The cost of the day retreat is £16 or £25 for both (Monthly Members £5 per day).
Lunch and refreshments are available in our World Peace Cafe during the day retreat.
