Blessing Empowerment of 1000 Armed Avalokiteshvara
Day Course
@ Buddha Land KMC, Keighley
Sunday 17 November10am – 4.30pm
In-person
A special opportunity to receive the blessing empowerment of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. By receiving this empowerment, we will deeply heal our minds and begin to awaken our potential for universal compassion which has the power to transform our self and our world. Please join us for this special day. The Empowerment will be granted by Gen Kelsang Paljin, our Resident Teacher.
Compassion is our Buddha nature. With their hearts filled with compassion for the suffering of others, Buddhas work tirelessly to liberate others from their suffering.
Pure compassion is a mind that finds the suffering of others unbearable, but it does not make us depressed. In fact it gives us tremendous energy to work for others and to complete the spiritual path for their sake. It shatters our complacency and makes it impossible to rest content with the superficial happiness of satisfying our worldly desires, yet in its place we shall come to know a deep inner peace that cannot be disturbed by changing conditions. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
We all have experience of compassion and wishing to help others when they are suffering but we know, it is limited usually to those close to us. And lacking wisdom and skilful means, we often do not know how to really help others, sometimes, we can make things worse.
An Empowerment gives us a special opportunity to make a connection with enlightened beings and their good qualities. By receiving the Empowerment of the Buddha of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara, we will receive his profound blessings. Please join us on this special day.
