Inner Strength – Overcoming Anger
Drop-in Meditation Classes
Livestreamed – Online
Day & Evening Classes Mondays to Fridays
This series of classes will explore why happiness and peaceful states of mind are short-lived, whilst negative states of mind, such as irritation and upset seem to appear with remarkable ease.
We will get to the root of our anger problem and look at methods to solve this through the practice of patience.
Many of us may not succumb to full blown anger but how many of us can say that we don’t get irritated or frustrated on a daily basis. Every day we meet with the unexpected and unwanted and unless we have trained our mind, our experience will be suffering and negative states of mind.
Taking teachings from the book How to Solve our Human Problems, we will discover the difference between outer problems and inner problems and by focusing on solving our inner problems of unpleasant feelings, we can learn to maintain patience when faced with even the most difficult circumstances.
“Just as there is room in the sky for a thunderstorm, so there is room in the vast space of our mind for a few painful feelings; and just as a storm has no power to destroy the sky, so unpleasant feelings have no power to destroy our mind.”
