In Person @ Buddha Land Centre & Livestream
Sunday 14 August, 10am – 1pm
(available for 48 hours after on catch up)
By learning to embrace impermanence , we can live peacefully in accordance with change, rather than trying to resist it. Find out how in this practical workshop.
Buddha said that all produced things (whether material, body or mind) are impermanent, that is, they change moment by moment.
Through not being aware of or accepting this reality of things, we become attached to people and things, or to our way of life — wishing them to remain the same and last forever — and then become deeply disappointed when they do not. Making ourselves familiar with their impermanence enables us to be more realistic and frees us from a great deal of unnecessary suffering.
In this workshop we invite you to develop this positive mind and engage in meditations through which we can discover the nature of reality, and which will give us the freedom and joy we desire.
Refreshments are available in our World Peace Café during the workshop.
The cost of the Workshop is £15 (GP Centre Card £5, FP member £0).
This workshop will be guided by Gen Kelsang Päljin, the Resident Teacher of Buddha Land Kadampa Meditation Centre, in Keighley, and also the Principal Teacher of Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre. Gen Päljin is a Buddhist monk with over 20 years’ experience of practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism.
