Learning from Lockdown
Meditation Workshop
Livestream from Burnley KBC (in-person attendance by request)
Saturday 27 February, 10am – 1pm
(available for 48 hours after on catch up)
In this workshop, we will take a practical look at how Buddha’s teachings and advice can help us deal better with the difficulties we have been or still are facing, during lockdown. We will also look at how we can use the wisdom we have gained during lockdown, to help us move forward into a better future for everyone.
Everyone has been experiencing challenges and difficulties as a result of lockdown. Sometimes we may have felt overwhelmed, worried, lonely, scared, frustrated or depressed.
But also sometimes we may have felt more peaceful and happy even though we’ve been unable to access our usual activities. Or sometimes we may have felt we have benefited immensely from having a life of less pressure and an opportunity to engage with life more simply. Perhaps this unusual situation has taught us so much about what really matters to us and what really makes us happy and gives our life meaning.
Join us for this meditation workshop to see how we can apply our lockdown wisdom to our post lockdown life, staying connected to each other with gratitude and love, and consciously start to transform our world into a place we would all prefer it to be.
You can attend this workshop by online streaming. In exceptional circumstances we will consider making the retreat available to you in person at Burnley Kadampa Buddhist Centre. If you want to take this option then please get in touch.
The cost is £15 (£5 for Monthly Members and free for FP members).
