Prayers for World Peace
Drop-in Prayers & Meditations
In-person
Saturdays 12noon – 1pm
Join in prayers and meditation dedicated to world peace, together with a short teaching on developing a peaceful and positive mind.
These weekly sessions offer an opportunity to develop loving kindness, compassion and a warm heart towards others. Through meditation, practical teachings and chanted prayers, we explore how changing our own mind can contribute to greater peace in our lives and in the world around us.
Each week we explore a short section from the book Eight Steps to Happiness, a practical guide to developing love and compassion and overcoming the inner attitudes that get in the way of these qualities.
Each class includes a relaxing breathing meditation, a short teaching and chanted prayers for world peace.
The class is free to attend and donations are welcome.
If you regularly attend classes and courses then our Centre Membership Scheme offers free entry to all the drop-in classes and gives discounts on workshops, day courses and day retreats. The cost is £20 pcm.

These weekly sessions are usually led by Kelsang Dra-ma, one of the teachers at Buddha Land Kadampa Meditation Centre, Keighley. She is a student on Buddha Land Centre’s Teacher Training Programme.
